Luke grew up locally and has been involved in local sporting teams and clubs from a young age. He continues to stay active within the community playing touch football and spending time with his family.

TOM DONOGHUE
Property Valuer // Rural Sales Agent
A rural specialist, Tom grew up on a mixed rural enterprise in the Gunnedah District, completing agricultural studies at Sydney University (Orange Campus) and property qualifications through the University of South Australia. He has an extensive knowledge of the agricultural sector and post university, owned and operated mixed farming enterprises in the Gunnedah and Mullaley area. During this time, he furthered his professional development through the Principle Focus network completing their Management Program. Drawing on his agricultural background was a key strength as Tom forged out a new career as a property valuer. Over the last twelve years he has built a comprehensive knowledge base of property markets, specialising in the rural sector. Utilising his expertise, Tom is committed to providing his clients with a professional and comprehensive approach with rural sales.
Tom would like to frequent the golf course a little more and no longer plays but now enjoys watching cricket and football and horse racing.

AMBER DONOGHUE
Amber has always had strong skills in project management and administration which she brings to her management role Johnston Donoghue Property Sales. With husband Tom, she was a partner in their mixed farming operations. Amber has always had a keen interest in real estate and has undertaken a number of renovations projects on investment properties, including the Johnston Donoghue Property Sales building and office suites. Amber and Tom have two children, Oscar and Scarlett and they have strong family connections in Gunnedah and across the region. Amber is committed to working in partnership with the Johnston Donoghue team in building client relationships and consistently providing the highest level of service in the real estate industry.
Amber enjoys spending time with family and friends and relaxes watering in the garden, cooking and occasionally binging a Netflix series.

Finance Manager
Kate brings to the team, a vast breadth of financial knowledge and experience. Kate graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of New England and became a qualified Chartered Accountant in 2006. She has been working in public practice for 19 years specialising in business services and tax compliance. Her expertise is second to none and a distinctive asset to our agency.
With Luke, Kate is a devoted mum to Otis, Peggy and Mabel and loves spending time with her family and friends. She enjoys being active and living a healthy lifestyle.

BONNIE HAYNE
Born and raised in Gunnedah, Bonnie has a deep understanding of the local community and a passion for helping people find their perfect home in the area. Bonnie holds a Bachelor of Business (Marketing) and Interior Design, and has been utilising this in her role to ensure Johnston Donoghue Property is at the front front of marketing in the real estate industry. Her background in the design industry, where she worked in Sydney for several years, has given her valuable experience in presenting properties in their best possible light and creating marketing campaigns that stand out from the crowd. She is passionate about helping people navigate the buying and selling process, and prides herself on delivering exceptional customer service and always maintaining open communication.
Bonnie and her partner have a young daughter, Aria and they spend most of their time with family, when they are not renovating their current property.

Matt is a proud local who knows the area like the back of his hand. KRISTEN KELLY
Property Manager
Kristen’s experience in real estate and exceptional administration skills, align perfectly with her role as head of property management in the Johnston Donoghue Property team. Originally from a farming background at Mullaley, Kristen’s family ties in the Gunnedah region give her a strong connection to the community. Her passion for property and real estate launched her career in 2003 and in between a working holiday in Canada and time with an agricultural company, she returned to the industry in 2019, excelling in property management.
Kristen and her husband Jordan have two daughters, Grace and Olivia and they love spending time with family and friends. Kristen also enjoys cooking, water skiing and gardening.

CHANEL MARLEY
Property Manager
Chanel was born in Fiji and migrated to Australia in 2014 to finish her studies in high school, and to be closer to family in Port Stephens. She resided on the coast in Nelson Bay and Norah Head while working in various customer service roles for the last 7 years. In 2022, Chanel and her partner Lachlan made the decision to move inland and purchase their first home in Gunnedah. In addition, they have bought an investment property locally.
Chanel began her Johnston Donoghue journey as our brilliant receptionist and since qualifying as an Assistant Agent, Chanel has enhanced our Property Management team with her exceptional client service skills and passion for helping others.
Outside of the office, she enjoys her spare time with family in Gunnedah and on the coast, competitive powerlifting and training at the gym.

MARG JOHNSTON
Reception
Marg was born and raised in Gunnedah, married to Steve and mother of Amber, Sarah and Luke and grandmother to seven.
After twenty years in conveyancing Marg has an excellent knowledge of the legalities and procedures involved within the property industry.
Marg is a long standing member of the charity PRAMS as Treasurer and also involved in the National Party of Australia as an active member of the Gunnedah Branch.
Her Interests include gardening, interior styling and enjoying a glass of red on the deck.
